Greetings from Phnom Penh, Cambodia! We are happily reunited after a 21 month long separation. We spent the last four days in Phnom Penh adjusting to the time change, catching up, and even seeing a few sights. It was a treat to be hosted by our friends Andy and Lana in their home, and we enjoyed quality time with them and their son Aaron. In our exploration of the city we made it to Toul Sleng, a former Khmer Rouge prison that now holds a genocide museum and memorial. We spent one morning at a local market, called Russian Market, for some shopping and good eats. One afternoon we made our way to the National Palace and Silver Pagoda along the river front.

In front of a stupa at the Silver Pagoda.

The Silver Pagoda, which houses one emerald Buddha and one Buddha encrusted with 2000 diamonds.

Murals.

Coronation hall at the National Palace.

Yummy yummy yogurt time.

We are looking forward to sharing more about our time in Phnom Penh (especially the food!) and making our way to Hanoi, Vietnam.
